Delhi Records Hottest Day Of Year, Temperatures 10 Degrees Above Normal

Delhi Heat Wave: At many places in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), the maximum temperature was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius. Delhi's Narela recorded the maximum temperature at 42 degrees Celsius, 10 degrees above the normal. New Delhi:  Delhi recorded its hottest day of the season at 39.1 degrees Celsius, seven degrees above the season's average, with the temperature expected to rise further in the next couple of days. Some parts of Delhi saw temperatures rise beyond 42 degrees Celsius. At many places in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), the maximum temperature was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius. The temple in Yadadri was renovated using black granite. Over 4,000 sculptors worked on the project which cost over ₹ 1,800 crore. Hyderabad:  Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today inaugurated the renovated temple of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Yadadri. Along with his cabinet and family members, he participated in special 'pujas' at the temple. "Attended and prayed at Maha Samprokshana Yagam at #Yadadri. CM KCR Garu has opened the doors for a enchanting spiritual journey and pilgrimage. #Yadadri will be a landmark of spiritual journey and architectural work across the Globe," ruling TRS MLC K Kavitha, daughter of the KCR, tweeted. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to attend the inauguration event. But the plan was shelved due to the growing political distance between PM Modi and KCR. Delhi: IMD predicts rise in temperature; mercury to hit 40°C by month-end

The national capital is expected to see a rise in temperature in the coming days with mercury likely to hit 40 degrees Celsius by month-end, the Met department predicted. Summer has finally arrived in Delhi with the temperature soaring high each and every day. On Sunday, the mercury in Delhi jumped by around two degrees, after falling to 34.5 degrees Celsius the previous day. The national capital was witnessing mild weather with sun and strong winds, but with the constant rise in the temperature, the mercury is expected to hit 40 degrees Celsius by the month-end. As per the report by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature jumped to 36.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday, five degrees above normal for this time of the season. According to the report, Delhi’s Pitampura was the hottest area of the city at 38.7 degrees Celsius, followed by 38.5 degrees at Yamuna Sports Complex in East Delhi. AAP Government Presents ₹ 75,800 Crore Budget For Delhi For FY 2022-23

Delhi Budget 2022: "Delhi's economy is recovering gradually from the impact of COVID-19. The budget allocation for 2022-23 is ₹ 75,800 crore," Manish Sisodia said in his budget speech. New Delhi:  Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today presented a ₹ 75,800 crore budget in the Assembly for the financial year 2022-23. "Delhi's economy is recovering gradually from the impact of COVID-19. The budget allocation for 2022-23 is ₹ 75,800 crore," Mr Sisodia said in his budget speech. The budget size for the financial year 2021-22 was ₹ 69,000 crore. The budget size for 2022-23 is 9.86 per cent higher than the previous year.

Delhi's Maximum Temperature Could Reach 35.7 Degrees Today

New Delhi:  The national capital experienced a warm morning on Saturday with the minimum temperature settling at 19.8 degrees Celsius, according to India Meteorological Department. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 35.7 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded in the moderate category at 190, said the SAFAR India Air Quality Service. The average concentrations of PM 2.5 and PM 10 stood at 190 and 153, respectively. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.   

Sonia Gandhi meets rebel face Ghulam Nabi Azad after assembly poll debacle

New Delhi:  Congress chief Sonia Gandhi had a quiet meeting with senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Holi Friday to perhaps gauge the extent of the unhappiness simmering in the rebel camp. The rebels, also known as G-23 – a group of 23 leaders who demanded organisational change last year – have met twice since the Congress’ humiliating rout in five states last week. Though dissenters calmed nerves among loyalists that the meetings were held with the full knowledge of Sonia Gandhi, some of the pro-Gandhi camp were very angry with senior leader Kapil Sibal, who had openly attacked the Gandhis two days ago. Sibal said the Gandhis must voluntarily move away from the helm. The rebels, and a few fresh faces, met twice within 48 hours, last brainstorming session being held on Thursday evening. Both meetings were at Ghulam Nabi Azad’s home.
